This project focuses on the design of a flyer for Alicja Kwade’s exhibition In Absence, based on a clean composition that places the artworks at the centre of the design.
The design uses a simple typeface and generous white space to give prominence to the images. The orange, taken from one of the test tubes featured in one of the artworks, is incorporated into the word Kwade Kwade and repeated across other graphic elements to establish a visual connection with the exhibition.
The image of Self-Portrait is used as the main visual element due to its striking presence. Orange is also used for the page numbers, creating continuity throughout the flyer.
The first inside page features a larger-scale image to provide an overview of the exhibition, while the following page combines images of three different artworks to offer a closer look at each piece.
Folleto irma boom

This project focuses on the design of a presentation flyer about designer Irma Boom, drawing inspiration from some of the graphic elements found in her work.
A square formatwas chosen for the spreads, an unusual choice for this type of publication. The main typeface has a timeless and understated appearance, while the quotes are set in a typewriter-style font to introduce a change of rhythm within the layout.
In the header, the word «Boom» “Boom” appears at a larger scale, playing with typographic proportions, a recurring element in the designer’s work. The design also incorporates a combination of purple and yellow, inspired by her work Colors of Nature, adding colour and contrast to the composition.
