The cover artwork was designed for a vinyl edition of “Intoxicao” by C. Tangana, from the album Ídolo. The concept draws on the idea of “intoxication by power” present in the song, as well as the figure of the idol as a symbol of desire and power.

The project focuses on typographic experimentation, exploring how a phrase can move beyond its purely textual function to become a graphic element. A line from the chorus was repeated to create the background, forming a pattern in which legibility and composition are given equal importance.

The proposal takes inspiration from Antoine Lefebvre’s work When Nothing is Done, Nothing is Left Undone, in which the repetition of a single word transforms text into a visual element. Building on this idea, the typography is combined with a representation of a poisonous liquid—visually attractive yet potentially dangerous—alongside the figure of the Golden Calf as a representation of the idol.
